OP · UAS

A drone does not solve a problem. It reveals it.

I use unmanned systems as an extension of the operational eye. Aerial view, perimeters, critical infrastructure, structured inspection. Licensed pilot in open and specific categories (A1, A2, A3, STS) under Regulation (EU) 2019/947 and the AESA framework.

    Operational definition

A UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System) is a tool of observation, not a solution in itself. Well flown and correctly framed within regulation, it reads a perimeter, a rooftop or a logistics footprint without interfering with ground operations. Misused, it turns into an aviation incident and a legal problem. Zero101OSINT applies UAS to private security with professional judgement, explicit legal framework and coordination with existing operations.

    01

    Perimeters

Aerial reading of facilities and environments. Blind spots, unplanned access, operational friction, exposures not obvious from the ground.

    02

    AVSEC & civil aviation

Working knowledge of the airport environment and aviation security procedures. Observation that understands protocols before photographing them and coordinates with the tower where applicable.

    03

    Infrastructure

Inspection of roofs, logistics perimeters, hospitals, singular buildings and industrial facilities. Structured visual documentation with time-stamp and traceability.

    04

    Ethics & regulation

AESA framework, Regulation (EU) 2019/947, GDPR and respect for airspace and privacy. No covert recording, no overflight of uninformed persons, no shortcuts.

    Operational applications

    Private perimeter security
Aerial reading of logistics, industrial, energy and singular facilities to identify blind spots, uncontrolled access and unforeseen circulation patterns.
    Critical infrastructure
Support to operators designated under Spanish Law 8/2011 and the CER Directive: scheduled visual inspection, exposure evaluation and surface anomaly detection without interfering with operations.
    AVSEC / airport environments
Work from AVSEC logic: understanding of restricted zones, coordination with airport operators and strict respect for controlled airspace.
    Technical rooftop inspection
Aerial documentation of roofs, façades and structures hard to inspect from the ground in hospitals, campuses, industry and heritage sites.
    Visible exposure audit
Cross-reference with OSINT: what is visible from the air near the corporate perimeter, what a competitor would publish with an allowed flight, and how to close that gap.
    Expert reports & forensic documentation
Visual records with chain of custody for expert reports, incidents and legal procedures requiring verifiable aerial view.

    Regulatory framework applied

    N1Regulation (EU) 2019/947

European rule governing UAS operations in open, specific and certified categories. All work is planned within this framework.

    N2AESA (Spain)

Competent authority in Spain. Licences, operators, standard scenarios and prior communication where applicable.

    N3Law 5/2014 and Law 8/2011

Private security and critical infrastructure: fitting UAS use into regulated operations and designated facilities.

    N4GDPR and LOPDGDD

Any capture with potential personal-data processing is planned with a legal basis, data minimisation and no undue overflight of individuals.

    Credentials and experience

    Categories A1, A2, A3

Licence for operation in the open category under Regulation (EU) 2019/947, with certified training and examination.

    STS (standard scenarios)

Training for operation in the specific category under standard scenarios published by AESA/EASA.

    AVSEC context

Over thirty years working in airport, port and critical infrastructure environments. Aerial operations are thought from aviation security, not from hobbyist logic.

    Integration with OSINT

Each flight is planned with prior reading of the area: what is known, what is unknown, what exposure exists. The drone does not scout blind.

    Legal and ethical framework

All UAS work at Zero101OSINT is executed within Regulation (EU) 2019/947, applicable AESA regulation, Spanish Law 5/2014 on Private Security, Law 8/2011 on Critical Infrastructure Protection and the GDPR/LOPDGDD. No overflight of individuals without a legal basis, no operation in restricted zones without authorisation and no distribution of identifiable third-party imagery without explicit legal cover.

    Frequently asked questions

Do I need specific authorisation to fly over my facility?+

It depends on the flight category, UAS weight, location (urban, airport, restricted) and type of operation. Every flight is planned with its concrete regulatory classification under Regulation (EU) 2019/947 and AESA.

    Can a drone replace a guarding service?+

No. A UAS is a point-in-time or scheduled observation tool. Continuous guarding is a regulated function of private security and is not replaced by drones. It can, however, complement and improve it.

How is this different from aerial photography?+

The framing. Here the flight is planned from a security angle: what to look for, what to document, what to preserve as evidence. Aerial technique is a means, not the product.

    Do you work inside airports?+

Always with the corresponding airport coordination and within the AVSEC framework. No coordination means no operation.

    Can identifiable individuals be recorded?+

Only with a legal basis and respect for GDPR/LOPDGDD. By default, flights are planned to minimise any capture of individuals, and the documentation is anonymised.

Can you respond to ad-hoc incidents?+

Every case is evaluated individually. Zero101OSINT operates as a lab: capacity is limited and prioritised, not a 24/7 service.
